The Genesis Mission was founded by Michael Moses and Semona Campbell on the belief that people in recovery can truly benefit if they have a clean, beautiful place they are proud to call home. Learning to live, not survive!

We believe that a person's self-esteem is strongly influenced by his immediate surroundings, and with this philosophy in mind, The Genesis Mission is committed to providing the finest in residential sober living. Our goal is to provide a supportive, structured and quality environment for people who are committed and active in their sobriety. Above all, we want our residents to be able to practice their sobriety in a safe, secure setting.

At The Genesis Mission, the moment a recovering man walks through the front door, the healing process begins. From the very first day, he engages in an active program of recovery designed to guide and support him in every aspect of his life: physical, emotional, vocational, and spiritual. Residents are encouraged to live at The Genesis Mission for as long as they feel the need for group support.

The Genesis Mission offers a flexible living environment with emphasis on individual responsibility and accountability - those issues that are so important in dealing with both the work place and social relationships. Combined with a flexible environment, The Genesis Mission also provides the resident with structured living by requiring attendance at off-site 12-step meetings, attendance at weekly house meetings, aftercare participation, fulfillment of household chores and adhering to curfews.

To provide housing and treatment services for men in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction and to facilitate their responsible and successful reentry into the community.

Our Philosophy

A positive self-image (imperative for recovery) is enhanced by a friendly, pleasant, clean, supportive and sober environment. Alcoholism or drug addiction often consumes everything in its path. Many people who are just beginning the process of recovery are a long way from living in uplifting surroundings. We provide an environment that anyone would be proud to call home.
